No two dogs are alike. That's why my approach to training begins with an understanding of your dog's behavior. This ensures a training method that's effective and uniquely tailored as your beloved companion.
A successful approach to dog training centers on positive reinforcement, rewarding desired actions to encourage repetition. Clear and consistent communication, using verbal cues and body language, ensures the dog understands expectations.
We build trust and start with basic commands in familiar settings.
Since I regularly board the dogs I train, their training allows me to take them out in town, where I consistently reinforce their learned behaviors on our walks.
Even after your training is complete, I'm here to offer ongoing support and guidance. If you have questions or encounter new challenges, I'm just a phone call or email away.
We regularly evaluate progress and adjust the training plan as needed.
Generally, we do not start e-collar training on a dog until it is at least 5 months old.
They live at the trainers home in a 4' x 6' climate controlled kennel with access to a dog door to go in and out. If they want sun they can go outside and if they want to sleep they can walk inside.
Is your dog acting out? Biting, chewing, or jumping? These behaviors often stem from boredom or a lack of exercise and discipline. Our training program offers top-notch obedience training, giving your dog the mental and physical stimulation it needs. With this training, you can safely let your dog off-leash to run and play. Not only will your dog benefit from improved behavior and increased happiness, but you'll also enjoy a more peaceful and fulfilling relationship with your furry friend. Remember, an untrained dog can become destructive, leading to costly repairs. Invest in your dog's well-being with our training program!
We train you! We spend between 1 to 2 hours training you on all the commands and how your dog will respond.
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your slot, which will be applied towards the total balance. Our 2-week and 3-week programs offer a 6-month payment plan that divides the balance into six equal installments without interest. To secure these financing terms, a credit card and driver's license are necessary.
An "e-collar" is essentially a collar equipped with a stimulation feature, akin to E-Stim therapy at a chiropractor's office. The collar is operated via a remote held by the handler, allowing complete control over the dog up to 400 yards away. This grants the dog considerable freedom and alleviates concerns about the dog wandering off. The e-collar is not intended for punishment or to "shock" the dog, as is commonly misconceived, but rather serves as a communication tool for training. It emits a gentle electrical pulse between two contact points on the collar, which is comparable to a "tickle." Historically, such collars were known as "shock collars" and were misused by some to intimidate dogs into obedience. However, in the training methods we endorse, the dog is not "shocked into submission" or mistreated. The e-collar's purpose is to capture the dog's attention and ensure focus on the handler, similar to a tap on the shoulder or a phone set to vibrate to signal an incoming call. We train dogs to heed these "taps" as cues to pay attention.
The utilization of e-collars in training by premier law enforcement, military, and federal agencies, including those involved in patrol, detection, and search and rescue, underscores their effectiveness.!
